UPDATED 2.18.06 NEW PHOTOS
We are excited to finally see some development at the new 26 acre
farm. Our 80' x 40' barn will house nearly all the llamas we'll have
for the next several years. It is the first step in vastly increasing
our herd size and production. This barn is a close replica of the
Dove Oaks Farm barn (Ron and Libby Boyd) that is one of the best designs
we have seen. It is geared towards good organization and reduced time
required for feeding and llama herd management. We made a few modifications,
but for the most part, our barn is very similar.
Our barn includes:
- Office
- Hay loft
- Wash Room with Heat/AC
- Work Area
- Tack Room
- 4 Large Stalls that can be converted up to 8 smaller stalls
- Maternity pen and creep pen area
- Overhangs on both 80' sides of the barn
- Center aisle for farm vehicles
