The folks that take Amador home will be very wise people. Amador has been impressive in his development and he is still growing. He has hit a growth spurt at the moment. If no one wants to take him home, we would use him in some of our breedings. Why is that? Well, for starters, he is pure a Argentine and unrelated to nearly all llamas in the United States. You have to understand genetics to appreciate the value of genetic diversity and unrelatedness. Both parents are imports, and we own his dam, Primavera. Primavera has produced nothing but top quality offspring, and she's one of our most consistent dams. His sire, Argentine Kobra, needs no introduction. Everyone who's been around in the llama business is familiar with Kobra. These are good reasons to breed him, but what else is special about him you ask? His personality is one of the best on the farm. Gentle with other llamas and friendly to humans, Amador is a pleasure to work with. He's easy to catch, can be haltered in the field, and is non-aggressive toward humans. His fiber is very silky and abundant, as you will see in the photos. And conformation? Yep, he's got that too. And of course, he has presence. We would like to see Amador go to a farm that can really use him. No matter what kind of llama you like to breed, Amador could play a role in your breeding program. Why not add the son of two imports to your herd? Amador is reasonably priced and ready to start his breeding career.. Please contact us for more information and take a look at the photos below of Amador.
![]() Nice bone size ![]() We'll try to get a better photo than this, but just look at the wool on those legs. Ungroomed, but we're working on getting some groomed photos. ![]() Again, ungroomed here, but take a close look at that silky drapey fiber that comes from Kobra. |
