Primavera is our Argentine import that we purchased from the Taylors just prior to their auction. She is one of the original Argentine llamas imported into the US and we're fortunate to have her. Thanks to embryo transplant technology, we were able to see at least six or seven of Primavera's offspring prior to purchasing her, and all of her babies have been very nice and some colorful. We liked that she is so consistent at throwing well-conformed llamas with excessive wool all over the body and head. Primavera is the dam of Argentine Merlin (owned by McRoberts Game Farm), Argentine Valentina (owned by Lynda Carothers), and Argentine De Atras (one of the few females the Taylors decided not to sell in their recent auction). She herself has extremely dense wool everywhere. She has the Argentine heavy bone and excessive wool on all legs. We nearly body sheared her and were able to collect 10.5 pounds of wool from her. Genetically, it's hard to say what colors she'll throw with different males, and she has produced three appy offspring with three different solid dark colored males. Her first cria for us is Argentine Amador.
