UPDATE: May 4, 2008.  We have had a couple new babies born in the past couple weeks: a Merit son and a Canzeco daughter. Our sales list is being updated now.

December 30, 2008. Year end wrap up. We only had one update this entire year, so here is a brief summary of what's going on. Jim recently changed jobs and is now working for Merck & Co., Inc in a lab. Arianna is now two and a half, but she is tall, so people often think she is older. Below is a recent photo of her. We had 5 cria born this year, and four of them were females. We sold Argentine Primavera and her full Argentine daughter to Lynda Carothers back in November. We currently have about 19 llamas after selling some and having new babies born. Jim will be working on a special project in the area of llama reproduction in 2008 - pretty exciting!

June 5, 2007.
Spring has come and summer is practically here. We have had two cria born so far this spring, and we are expecting two more in the next couple weeks. Hot Toddy must have absorbed her cria last year from when Don Novello jumped the fence and bred her. Too bad, as that was a cross that we were really anticipating. Toddy is now being bred to Merit for next spring. One cria is expected this fall, which is a Northern Lite/Merit cross. It should be a nice cria. Poco and Moma are the ones stil due, and they both were bred to Merit. All the breeding females we have are being bred to primarily to Canzeco so we can get some of his cria on the ground next spring. This year is mostly Merit's cria. Don Novello had one cria, a pure Argentine female and she is nice. We are going to take a few llamas out to the Hartman sale in Nebraska later in the fall if they do not sell before then.

September 9, 2006. Wow! We have not had an update in almost one year. The good news is that the barn and the cottage are complete, and ready for us to move. The bad news is that our fencing for the llamas is not ready for us to move and will not be for several more weeks. After some problems with a fencing contractos, I winded up taking on the project myself. Ron Boyd of Dove Oaks Farm came up over the weekend to help me out with some high tensile fencing and braces. The perimeter fencing is up where we want it. Our farm where the llamas currently are is still not on the market, but hopefully soon, maybe in October. There have been lots of delays! But everything is coming together.
